Hello !

안녕하세요 ! Greetings from Yanggu (양구), South Korea !

After teaching at Max Jacob, I took some time to think about what I wanted to do with my future. I had such an amazing time teaching in Quimper and I learned so much about la Bretagne, including its culture and language. Everyone was so welcoming, kind, and positive, and it left such a huge impression on me. After such a wonderful experience, I knew that I wanted to continue teaching abroad !

So, I made the big decision to apply to EPIK (English Program in Korea)… and I was accepted !

And here I am !

I came to South Korea on February 10th, and after eleven days in quarantine and four days at orientation, I finally made it to my new home : Yanggu, Gangwon ! I am surrounded by mountains and nature ! Many people (including celebrities !) come to Gangwon to go hiking, camping, skiing, etc. This is the place, if you want to take a break and reconnect with nature !

I’ve already started teaching English at the Gangwon Foreign Language High School, and my high school students remind me so much of my students at Max Jacob ! They are kind, energetic, and curious. Most importantly, they love to laugh !

I hope you are all well, and I will keep you updated ! Until next time !

Love,

Erin

Rappelez-vous, à la fin du premier confinement, nous avions trouvé moyen de lui dire au-revoir.
