Voyage en Angleterre - Février 2014

Les élèves de 3 classes de 5e (5ème1, 5ème4 et 5ème6), accompagnés d’enseignants et de personnels de la Vie Scolaire, sont partis en Angleterre du 18 au 22 février 2014.

Que de bons souvenirs de ces quelques jours à Portsmouth, Brighton, Londres et Beaulieu (prononcer « biouli ») !

Le beau temps a été de la partie, ce qui n’était pas gagné cette année.

Le programme était chargé : découverte des villes de Portsmouth, Brighton et Londres, visites culturelles (Royal Pavilion à Brighton, HMS Victory à Portsmouth, abbaye, manoir victorien et musée national de l’automobile à Beaulieu, …), dégustation de spécialités locales (Fish and chips, Cream tea), moments de détente (shopping, jeux sur le Brighton Pier, …), et hébergement en familles.

Compte-rendu du séjour rédigé par les élèves de 5ème1 :

On Tuesday, we travelled from Quimper to Ouistreham. We waited for the ferry and we crossed the Channel. We ate breakfast and lunch on the ferry. Some people slept, visited the ferry, bought sweets or souvenirs, and some people vomited. We arrived in England in Portsmouth. We visited the HMS Victory. We walked next to Portsmouth seafront. We saw the HMS Warrior and the Spinaker Tower. Jean-Yves drove us to Asda carpark. We met the hosting families. We went to their house, we ate dinner, we had a shower and we slept.

On Wednesday, we ate breakfast at the families’. We went to the coach meeting point. Jean-Yves drove us to Brighton. In Brighton, we went to the beach, we visited the Lanes and we ate lunch on Brighton Pier. We had free time on the merry-go-rounds. In the afternoon, we visited and drew the Royal Pavilion. We had free time on the beach and Jean-Yves drove us back to Portsmouth and the meeting point. We went back to the hosting families.

On Thursday, we went to London. Jean-Yves drove us around the city, we saw Tower bridge, the Tower of London, the Gherkin, the “hung, drawn and quartered” pub , the City, the Parliament, the London Eye and Big Ben. We went to Buckingham Palace and we saw the “changing of the guards”. We ate lunch in St James’s Park. We saw squirrels, geese and swans. We walked to Picadilly Circus and we bought souvenirs at Cool Britannia. Then, we walked to Trafalgar Square. We saw the horse guards and 10 Downing Street (the house of the Prime Minister). We walked to Big Ben and we took photos. We took the underground/tube to the Natural History Museum. We visited the museum and we went back to Portsmouth.

On Friday, we said good-bye to the families. We met the group on Asda carpark and we went shopping. We went to Beaulieu [biouli] where we visited Palace House and the abbey. We had a picnic in the park. In the afternoon, we visited the National Motor Museum and we ate a “cream tea”. In the evening, we went to a “fish and chips” restaurant. Jean-Yves drove us to the ferry. We crossed the Channel during the night.

On Saturday, we arrived in Ouistreham. Jean-Yves drove us back to Quimper. We met our families at school at midday.
