Les élèves ont voyagé en car depuis le collège, avec des traversées en ferry Ouistreham-Portsmouth à l’aller, Plymouth-Roscoff au retour.
Ils ont été hébergés dans des familles d’accueil à Waterlooville, près de Portsmouth.
Déroulement du séjour :
- lundi 11 février :
Départ du collège, route vers Ouistreham. Pique-nique à la gare maritime et embarquement à bord du Mont St Michel, ferry de la Brittany Ferries. Traversée de nuit. - mardi 12 février :
Visite de Portsmouth : découverte de la partie côtière de la ville à pied, et visite du HSM Warrior.

Visite du Portsmouth City Museum dans l’après-midi.
Route vers Waterlooville en début de soirée et rencontre avec les familles d’accueil.
- mercredi 13 février :
Journée à Brighton. Visite de la ville, des Lanes et du Pier dans la matinée. Pique-nique sur le Pier.

Journée à Londres. Découverte de la ville en car, puis traversée de St James Park pour découvrir Buckingham Palace.

Pique-nique dans St James Park, puis visite du centre historique à pied : Picadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, Whitehall (et ses "Horse Guards, ainsi que le 10 Downing Street), Houses of Parliament (et Big Ben) et Westminster Abbey.

Trajet en métro jusqu’au Natural History Museum et visite libre du musée. - vendredi 15 février :
Traversée de la New Forest, puis visite du parc de Beaulieu, son abbaye, son manoir victorien et son musée national de l’automobile.

Compte-rendu rédigé par les élèves à leur retour :
We went to England. We left Quimper on the 11th of February. Pierre drove us to Ouistreham. We ate a picnic at the ferry port, then we took the ferry to Portsmouth. We tried to sleep and we had breakfast on the ferry.
On Tuesday, in the morning, we walked on Portsmouth beach, we saw the Spinnaker Tower. We visited the HMS Warrior. We looked at the HMS Victory, Nelson’s boat. We ate « fish and chips » at the Ship & Castle, a pub. Then we played on the beach. In the afternoon, we visited Portsmouth City Museum. In the evening, we met the families.
On Wednesday, we went to Brighton. We visited Brighton Pier and the Lanes, and we had lunch on the Pier. After lunch, we visited the Royal Pavilion. We had some free time on the Pier and we went back to the families.
On Thursday, we went to London. On the road to London, for a quiz, we looked for some English supermarkets, petrol stations cars and pubs. We discovered the city by bus and on foot. We saw Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament … We ate a picnic in St James Park. After the picninc, we went to Picadilly Circus and we did some shopping in Cool Britannia. We walked to Trafalgar Square. We saw the horse guards and 10 Downing Street. We took the underground to South Kensington. We visited the Natural History Museum. And finally Pierre drove us back to the families in Waterlooville, near Portsmouth.
On Friday, we left the families for the last time. Pierre drove through the New Forest, there were horses on the road. We visited Beaulieu : the abbey, Palace House (a Victorian manor) and the National Motor Museum. We had a « cream tea ». Then Pierre drove us to Plymouth and we took the ferry. On the ferry, we had dinner, we slept and we had breakfast.
On Saturday morning, we arrived in Roscoff. We walked through customs. We came back to Quimper by lunch time.
